Pugsley is doing well and seems to mellow out at night which is great.
Questions for fellow pug owners:
Should i brush Pugsleys teeth (stupid question?)?
Should i clean his ears (definate wax build-up)?
How often should i clean his face, in the folds of skin etc?
Also he has had all of his jabs from when i got him at 7 weeks from the breeder. He is now 7 weeks and 5 days old, are his next jabs at 8 weeks? Don't worry he is going the vet on Monday, i just thought i would ask before hand. Also does pet insurance cover the jabs? If not how much are they?
Sorry for all the questions guys :)

All is well...
It seems we are now getting Pugsley into a routine and it goes a little something like this.
Up at 7:00, straight out into garden.
Breakfast at around 7:10 then back out into garden.
Play till 9am then into the cage...here he will cry for about 15 minutes then forget why he doesn't like his cage and drift off into blissful sleep :O)
Mum comes over at around 12:30 - 13:00 as i'm at work. He is straight into garden then lunch. Play until about 5pm with mum until i arrive home then it's back into Garden and another meal.
Around 21:00 - 21:30 his final meal followed by garden and off to sleep on daddys bed!!! (yes it seems he is now accustomed to sleeping like a king with daddy).
Finally i have to wake up at 3:30 (nightmare!) for another garden moment. Then it's back to bed till 7:00 where i am promptly awoken to a lots of ear licking ;o)
Rinse and repeat.

My mom is playing with Pugsley which gives me the chance for an update!
The main issue i have so far is that Pugsley does not like his cage. I placed one of my t-shirts in there so he would have comfort from my scent but it doesn't seem to have an effect. I place him inside, shut the door and within 10 seconds he seriously starts to cry for me to let him out so last night he had to sleep on my bed. Does anyone have any ideas as to how i can make him stay in his cage and not cry?
As for toilet training only one accident when he peed on the kitchen floor (tiled anyway) last night, but generally he is doing exactly as the breeder advised. As soon as he has a meal i take him into the garden and so long as i ignore him he eventually gets bored and does his business.
The only other gripe is that as i he is only 7 weeks old he hasn't fully learned bite inhibition. I think he's probing me at the moment to see how much i can take, but i think as long as i say NO firmly he seems to be getting the message that it's not nice to bite daddy :O)
Well here I am my with my first blog
Hello everyone,
My name is David i am 25yrs old and i live in the United Kingdom. Yesterday 31/10/04 i got my first ever pug and i have named him Pugsley. Pugsley is 7 week old black male and totally adorable. We got him from a reputable breeder in Manchester, he was expensive (as all pugs are) but worth every penny. I will post some pictures later on that i took yesterday when he arrived home.
I will endeavour to keep this blog upto date with lots of pictures and information as i know there are lots of pug lovers out there who will enjoy seeing Pugsley grow up, so goodbye for now from me and Pugsley.
